The population of our University largely represents the state and ratio of the country's population, with this in mind, let us ponder on the elections that took place recently. It was made clear to all students through print and social media what it was that was expected of them in this process yet the majority were not sure of what to do when faced with the ballot paper. For most the elections went past without them even participating ; it seems most students simply do not see the point of voting, as if they feel nothing will change. It is in the hands of the parties involved who would like to be "voted into power" to show the students that they can make a noteble change in student life , thus creating interest in the outcome of the voting.I am no political fundi, but, is it not true that the point of appointing leaders is to see changes and progress in terms of relevant matters? Just my opinion.
